What we had in mind while designing our new building...

Our reception area was designed with cats and their owners in mind. People can enjoy the open space, large windows, comfortable seating, plants and photos. Cats waiting for their exams can be spaced apart from each other. Our veterinary-engineered ventilation system also helps to keep odors down and removes lingering smells that can upset some of our patients. With no barking dogs and insulated interiors walls, cats also appreciate peace and quiet. We also use a pheromone scent called Feliway that can naturally help to relax cats throughout our facility.

Our exam rooms were designed to be just the right size. Each room has a mini-fridge to keep vaccines fresh. Computer monitors and keyboards attached to the walls keeps patient records at our fingertips, and the monitors can pivot around to show clients their pet's x-rays or educational information from our database or the internet. The wall colors are muted to help soothe cats during their exam. Our doctors and staff move slowly and speak softly to add to the peaceful environment in an attempt to keep the patient's anxiety level as low as possible.

Our hospital area was designed to be our center of operations. The room is open and well lit with three exam tables, two of which have full plumbing allowing us to treat and flush bleeding or infected wounds with easy cleanup. The drawers can be opened from either side allowing fast access to supplies from either side of the table. Large windows allow us to keep tabs on animals in our isolation and quarantine rooms. Staff members can supply our surgical suite with supplies without entering the room through our built in pass-through cabinet. Minimizing traffic into the surgery room and a ventilation system separate from the rest of the hospital helps to prevent infection during surgical procedures. Dental procedures and dental x-rays are performed in a separate room. We also have a full in house lab so we can attend to critical cases and treat sick patients quickly. Our oxygen cage helps cats that are in respiratory distress. Computer stations and phones keep doctors close at hand with quick access to opatient records and x-rays enabling us to call clients regularly to talk about their hospitalized pets.
